Speaker and Presenter Opportunities

It is estimated that approximately 300,000 Americans under 18 are lured into the commercial sex trade every year. Sex-trafficking is a form of modern slavery that exists throughout the United States.

DeAnne is dedicated to addressing the issue of child sex-trafficking in America, by providing therapeutic services to the victims, and educating professionals and the community about this current epidemic. For the past three years DeAnne provided therapeutic clinical services at a long-term residential home in northern California for young girls who were rescued from sex-trafficking. She was part of a treatment team who worked with the FBI, law enforcement, government agencies, lawmakers, and researchers for the purpose of effecting the necessary changes required to remedy this issue. Currently DeAnne works in the community providing individual and group therapy to young women and girls who have been victims of sex-trafficking.

Mental health providers must be prepared to address the challenges associated with the young victims of sex-trafficking. DeAnne offers Domestic Minor Sex-Trafficking: A Clinical Perspective; workshops for clinicians and those who work with this population. Participants will learn the realities of sex-trafficking in America, the damaging psychological effects on the child victims, the therapeutic focus of treatment, and recognize the need to provide clinical services that specifically address this population.

As a presenter on human sex-trafficking DeAnne brings high energy, knowledge & real-life experience to her presentations to provide an in-depth understanding of the issue.

To bring the issue to light is to bring healing and aid to the victims of sex-trafficking. Education and information is crucial to creating and supporting programs that provide therapeutic services and homes where young girls and women can heal and find hope for their future.

“The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing”
