DeAnne’s career path has taken her through a wide variety of fulfilling experiences. She has vast mental health experience working with individuals, couples, and families, and has worked with all levels of mental health issues. DeAnne currently has a private practice in downtown Sacramento providing psychotherapy to couples, individuals & families, as well as working with young women and girls who have been victims of sex-trafficking.
During the past three years, she provided therapeutic clinical services at a long-term residential home for young girls who were rescued from sex-trafficking. As the therapist at this program she was committed to providing the highest level of honest and focused therapy, both individual and group, that is necessary for restoring these young lives. DeAnne is dedicated to addressing the issue of human trafficking and believes we must all come together to fight this evil, as well as provide care and services to those affected by this grievous crime.
DeAnne is also a Registered Nurse, graduating in 1983 with her Bachelor’s degree in Nursing. She worked on many units including maternity, oncology, NICU, pediatrics, and a psychiatric unit. In 1993 she obtained her Sign Language Interpreting Certificate and worked in the Deaf Community assisting with interpreting.
In 2005 she taught in the psychiatric rotation for Sacramento City College nursing students. Due to her love for teaching, she supervises interns who are working towards their hours to become licensed therapists.
In addition to her current private practice, DeAnne’s therapy career has included:

- Group home residents and foster families
- Provided AB114 mental health services to the students within the Lodi School District
- Treatment for juvenile sexual offenders
- Adolescents within the juvenile justice system
- Family reunification
- Police and fire department personnel dealing with various work related stressors
